Do the slippers teach you anything,
you wear them on,
After, the Wind said,
"It's time to leave..".
Your slippers said,
"Are you sure..
You will leave...
Are you sure..
you had nothing to say...
To the Wind breathing
on your neck...".
"Are you very sure...
That there is no shift...
No unresolved puzzle..
Left unanswered..."
You might have just nodded
And left with your slippers
Accompanying your pondering mind
Back then...
But your slippers took
A less throbbed road,
Winding through the half light City...
Torturing you endlessly...
Asking you
With every squeaking noise
It made
Upon every step you took..
"Are you sure...?"

Interesting and thought-provoking. Like it!
A poem to ponder-is it as simple as it looks? I am not too sure but I surely loved the doubting voice dominating the poem. A good choice to match the pot luck theme.
beautiful...thought provoking...it has so many layers to it which each time and each person would see a different meaning behind them...lovely
wordplay... of thoughts too deep and meaning too secretive..
i am not sure.. not at all..
welcome...
playful one, well done.
A++
I certainly enjoyed reading and reflecting on that poem; wonderful suggestion.
I like the conversational interaction: 'are you sure?' Nice flow.
i have always felt like our clothing is an extenion of ourselves, so the fact that the slippers are asking questions seem to me like thats what they would do. :)
Interesting! like the dialogue of the wandering mind :))
conversational and interesting:))
