WE shall overcome -unwind-ed after years of pursuit

I have been walking about in the chanced upon "Random paths" with a urgency to find once again a forgotten self and each time I touch the cobbled steps, or the bend down road side bough- I find looking back to the self I had buried deep below the curiously silent placid ocean. Today, I found the first song I learnt to sing-and went back to the days when my father laboriously taught me the tune, the lyrics-My first stage inter class performance- I was just three years old then! a merely three feet tall being---and I sang "We shall over come". A giant song for a tiny tot back then!

Kept looking for the history behind the song, for years together and once again Random paths had the answer stored within! coincidence-familiarity---I am keeping mum over all of these terms.

For those of you who are still to raise up from the ashes and rebuild their own future: here are the powerful lyrics:

We shall overcome,
We shall overcome,
We shall overcome, some day.

Oh, deep in my heart,
I do believe
We shall overcome, some day.

We'll walk hand in hand,
We'll walk hand in hand,
We'll walk hand in hand, some day.

Oh, deep in my heart,

We shall live in peace,
We shall live in peace,
We shall live in peace, some day.

Oh, deep in my heart,

We shall all be free,
We shall all be free,
We shall all be free, some day.

Oh, deep in my heart,

We are not afraid,
We are not afraid,
We are not afraid, TODAY

Oh, deep in my heart,

We shall overcome,
We shall overcome,
We shall overcome, some day.

Oh, deep in my heart,
I do believe
We shall overcome, some day.
