My poem selected as Poem of the Week - Nature and Life

Friday, July 29, 2011 was a delightful day, for the panel of JINGLE POETRY  selected my poem as the POEM OF THE WEEK- to all the panelists- a noble bow to each one of you.
 

 

 

Poetry Potluck of this week's prompt "Nature and Life" by Shashi as usual had many wonderful submissions from many creative writers  from around the world We at Jingle Poetry are happy to form a poetic group where we encourage to write and share poetry.As a rule Saturday 's Poem of the week is to be only one poem and it is been difficult selecting that one poem since a lot of them were magical creations of words.Yet again , here I present one such poem 'Wanderer in the wild' by Sherya Chatterjee ...

It is like being honored on and on

This award came to me soon after, Zave honored me. This time it was a wonderful poet with a alpha numeric name D2. I have long since strangely to give my scribbling off-springs a name of their own. And these awards surely help them to mature. thanks a lot D2.

An Award After a long Hiatus

I right away thank  Zave who considered me as a fitting receiver of the following award.

I humbly accept this...and promise strive for improving my "versatility" as a writer and poet.




Now, the 7 things I need to share according to the conditions.

1.Though a common face in a whirling crowd, I strive to get better.

2.When reality presses upon, I choose to dive inside me for comfort and strength.

3. I believe books are true friends, for they make you wisdom and open, tolerate and composed.

4. I write to keep the promise I made to the soul of a man I love most in my life.

5. Dream I do, but never at the expense of others.

6.I love a steaming cup of coffee, alas the doc always has other minds!

7.Each night before going to sleep, I say to myself..."tomorrow will be a brighter day."

I got a lovely award

 

I have just received this from a friend called "being me". This is an honour I would hold on to for days to come.

And so it is my lovely task to pass it on to 5 bloggers and list 7 things (stories, thoughts, favorite, peeves etc anything) about myself.

1) In love with rains, I wait from them the whole year.

2)A little walk down the hilly-roads on Gangtok with my father- though a few hours of a single day, a part of a tiny trip...it has left a mark in my mind.

3)My favourite pass time is stitching and I would soon share a post of all my stitching projects.

4)when I am down I text smileys to all my friends, their replies of several more smileys brighten me up-I know it is silly but silly things do make us smile!

5)I have learnt that failures are truly pillars of success for a person who has failed has the strength to bear on the pangs of the world unlike those who bask in their "lucky" sun.

6)I love shopping for books and the best part is all the planning about which ones to buy.

7) I am addicted to coffee and though my mother tries her level best to keep it away from me, (for I have got sleeping problem), i manage to steal a brief coffee-drinking moment, now and then. Thanks to small one serve packs of "Bru".
