Chained Humanity

You kept me chained,
That collar, and that rein,

You made me parade
Around your terrain,
Wiped my conscience,

Stripped my ego,
Rode my back,
When I yelled
And prayed.

A man, skinned,
Tagged and marked,
A slave
With a slit mouth.
Carrying
That gruesome grin.

a nice write...

btw... i was trying to read between the lines... and it turns out there were a few "good" points of the captivation that the man has learned...
a good conscience, and "zero" ego...

just a thought...
